New Distribution and Download Support, RedHat RPMs combined
The ImageStream Web site has been updated to use a new download script that
provides additional information to customers downloading a SAND release. Each
release archive is properly tagged with a version number. Each archive also
includes a "version" and "release" file that enable customers to easily
determine the driver version of their archives. The RedHat RPM releases have
been combined into a single RPM. Pre-compiled binaries for Linux 2.4.17, RedHat
7.1, 7.2 and Slackware 8.0 have been added to the Web site.
Bugs fixed in Version 3.4.0
The following bugs have been fixed in SAND Version 3.4.0:
Fractional E1 Timeslot Allocation Error Fixed
SAND versions after 3.25 but prior to 3.4.0 incorrectly allocated timeslots
24-30 for fractional E1 circuits in addition to timeslots entered in wan.conf.
This allocation issue affects fractional E1 support with the WANic 604-E1 and
608-E1 cards only and is fixed in Version 3.4.0.
Clock Inversion On WANic 520 Series Serial Cards Fixed
Previous SAND versions failed to invert the on-board chipset clock for the WANic
521 series serial cards. An inverted clock can cause problems connecting to
certain CSU/DSUs and in lab crossover configurations. Version 3.4.0 correctly
inverts the on-board chipset clock for the WANic 520.
