Version 3.26 of ImageStream's Standard Architecture for Network Drivers
(SAND) is now available as a general release for all ImageStream
This software release is provided at no charge to all ImageStream
customers, and is recommended for all customers who wish to upgrade to the

New Features in Version 3.26
Support For WANic/Aries/Maxim 564, 1000, and 1050
Version 3.26 of SAND supports the 4-port integrated CSU/DSU card based
on the 520 series chipset. Version 3.26 also adds support for 1000 series
ATM OC-3 cards and 1050 series ATM DS-3/E-3 cards.
Beta Support For T1/E1 Multiplexing
The SAND architecture now supports multiplexing of T1 and E1 interfaces on
the 654 and 658 series cards. Up to 127 total hardware subinterfaces can
be created per card in the system. Support for this feature is BETA ONLY
and does have known limitations that will be fixed prior to full release.

Bugs fixed in Version 3.26
The following bugs have been fixed in SAND Version 3.26:
Transmit Timeout Error On Busy Links Corrected
Beginning with Version 3.25 of SAND, all protocol subinterfaces were
automatically bandwidth limited based on their master interface speed.
Under heavy traffic loads, if ports filled all of their buffers, a
"Transmit timeout" error resulted. Version 3.26 correctly clears the
buffers on subinterfaces under heavy trafic loads.
